DSLR Camera Overview

COMPACT CAMERA
So what makes the difference? The difference between a Compact Camera and a DSLR is the sensor itself. Take this for example, you have 10 MP compact camera and the same resolution DSLR. When you look at the sensor sizer, the DSLRs will be having a sensor 3 may be 4 or 5 times bigger sensor. A compact camera may allow you to set some features manually but on a dslr, you can pretty much take control of your camera. A compact camera may not have interchangable lenses expect the case of Mirrorless Cameras. So a question arises what is the technology behind a mirrorless camera? Well the answer is simple, you don't have a mirror in it. When you use a DSLR, it has got a tiny viewfinder on top of it. The technology behind this is simple, a pentamirror or pentaprism. The image seen through the lens is reflected on to the pentamirror/prism which is show through the viewfinde, but in a mirrorless camera you won't find one. That's one reason the Mirrorless Cameras are sluggish in captuing fast action.
