Nikon D4 vs Canon 1DX


With the arrival of the new 1DX in Canon pro DSLR series certain changes have been brought. This new changes are now taking the likes of Nikon's D4 pro DSLR. For those who are confused between the two, here's a short overview of differences.

  1. The Nikon D4 has a 16.2MP sensor whereas the Canon 1Dx has an 18.1MP sensor.
  2. The Auto Focusing of the Canon is better than the Nikon, the Canon focuses faster in servo mode than the Nikon.
  3. Faster burst rate, Nikon's D4 has 11 frames per second whereas Canon 1Dx have got an expandable 14fps shooting mode. Canon also maintains fast focusing in this mode as well.
  4. Noise, everybody goes to the Nikon side in this one and it has been true. The Nikon maintains the noise ratio in LOW ISO s but at higher ISO s the Canon maintains the details and is better than the Nikon.
  5. Nikon's D4 has 51 focus points whereas Canon's 1Dx has 61 focus points out of which 41 are cross type.
